In the aftermath of the devastating Tubbs Fire in October 2017, the Santa Rosa community mourned the loss of many landmarks. Among them, the beloved Willi’s Wine Bar. When Mark and Terri Stark made the bold decision to rebuild, Precision Builders was honored to be part of the team tasked with bringing this cherished gathering place back to life.

The new Willi’s location, nestled in Santa Rosa’s Town and Country shopping center, reflects both resilience and reinvention. Our work focused on creating a space that captured the spirit of the original, warm, welcoming, and distinctly Sonoma, while elevating the guest experience with thoughtful design and modern functionality.

The 3,000-square-foot buildout included a custom kitchen, expansive 13-seat bar, vaulted ceilings, and an indoor-outdoor layout with seating for over 100 guests. Special design details like a salvaged horseshoe from the original site and a custom light fixture made from a fire extinguisher were seamlessly integrated to honor the restaurant’s legacy.

As builders, we take great pride in contributing to meaningful projects, and the reopening of Willi’s stands as a testament to the strength of both the Starks and the Santa Rosa community.
